Caraway

Caraway Oil is extracted from the seeds of caraway plant (Carum carvi), originating from Asia Minor, but now it's commonly cultivated in Africa, Northern Europe and Russia. Caraway seeds, when bruised, release a refreshing and fragrant odour. That's why it is traditionally added to food as flavouring. The oil itself has a sweet, spicy odour, with a slight peppery smell.
