Citronella essential oil is one of the most common oils used in aromatherapy, which is obtained from the Cymbopogon genus plant family. The essential oil of Citronella forms fine blends with the essential oils of Cedar Wood, Clary Sage, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint and Rosemary and Tea Tree.

    Aromatic Scent:   Citronella Ceylon has a well rounded lemon citrus scent, though it is much softer than actual Lemon. It also has subtle wood tones.

    Common Uses:   Citronella Ceylon is credited with having therapeutic properties as an antiseptic, deodorant, insecticide, parasitic, tonic and as a stimulant. Nonetheless, most people will associate it with its insecticide properties. Many commercial repellents contain Citronella Ceylon, and it is often used in combination with Cedarwood to produce a pleasant smelling natural insect repellent. It will also be seen in soaps and candles, and it has common applications in massage. This oil can also help with minor infection, but is more commonly known for its ability to assist in combating colds and flu. Citronella can also be used for excessive perspiration and for conditioning oily skin and hair.

    Blends well with:
      Citronella Ceylon blends well with most oils, but specifically well with Bergamot, Bitter Orange, Cedarwood, Geranium, Lemon, Orange, Lavender and Pine.

    We process your order and payment right away. All orders under $115 for delivery within New Zealand carry a postage and packing charge for anywhere in NZ including rural delivery. The prices are below;

    Over 2kg = $11.15 Anywhere in NZ
    To PO Boxes
    Up to 1kg = $6.50
    1-10kg = $26.80
    10-15kg = $37.10

    All orders placed via the Website over $115 have free freight until further notice!

    All overseas orders are sent via NZ Post International Airfreight. You will be informed of the total cost including any additional shipping when placing your order. For most items, we can usually ship your order within 24 hours. You should allow from 4 to 7 working days for delivery in N.Z.

    If we receive your order on the weekend or on a public holiday, we will process your order on the next business day.

    If the product is not in stock, we will advise you and we will keep you posted about the status of your order.
